University for Peace Network

Students at UPEACE receive a unique and rigorous education which allows them to make significant contributions to peace and security issues after their graduation. UPEACE alumni offer a unique comparative advantage to potential employers:

UPEACE Alumni represent an outstanding diverse, multicultural group. During the 2005-2006 academic year, for example, more than 100 students enrolled at the UPEACE campus in Costa Rica from 38 countries; 60 percent of the students are women; and 50 percent come from developing countries.
UPEACE Alumni are exposed to specialized relevant training by visiting UN, NGO and other international organization representatives (such as UNHCR, ICRC, ICC, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and Amnesty International) during their studies.
UPEACE Alumni are young professionals with international experience who can offer employers an array of work experience, skills, and bi- or multi-lingual proficiency.

More than 250 students have graduated from UPEACE with Masters degrees and are dispersed around the world to apply their education, skills and commitment to social peace and human security.
